HERITAGE OTTAWA ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH OTTAWA BOARD OF TRADE

HERITAGE OTTAWA

Heritage Ottawa is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with the Ottawa Board of Trade to support a series of engagement opportunities that celebrate Ottawa's heritage while connecting with the city's business community.

This partnership highlights the important role Heritage Ottawa plays in preserving the city's built environment and strengthening the cultural and economic fabric of the city. Through this collaboration with the Ottawa Board of Trade (OBOT), Heritage Ottawa will be recognized as a valued community partner helping strengthen Ottawa's past with its future.

Ontario Chamber of Commerce AGM Host Reception

As part of the partnership, Heritage Ottawa provided a guided walking tour on April 23, 2026 for some 70 delegates attending the Ontario Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting and Reception. The tour departed from the Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel, showcasing Ottawa's historic downtown and the evolution of the city from Bytown to Canada's capital, concluding at the Rideau Club, the venue of the evening's Host Reception.

"As the guests arrived at the Rideau Club I asked how they found the walking tour, and the feedback was outstanding. Your knowledge and enthusiasm was a wonderful way to welcome our visitors from across the province to our great city," wrote Sharon Diamond of the OBOT

Business After 5: Heritage & Hospitality

On April 30th, Heritage Ottawa will be participating in Business After 5: Heritage & Hospitality at allsaints event space, the repurposed former All Saints United Church in Sandy Hill, for an evening exploring how historic spaces can be reimagined as vibrant economic hubs. The event will feature a curated group of restaurants whose stories are connected to Ottawa's built heritage -- those operating within historic buildings; restoring legacy spaces; or contributing to Ottawa's evolving landscape, and will welcome 100-150 engaged business leaders, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers.

Business on the River: Celebrating 200 Years

On June 4th, Heritage Ottawa will be joining the Ottawa Board of Trade Summer Social Boat Cruise that celebrates Ottawa's history and community through an 'Ottawa 200' themed networking event, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders for an evening of connection on the Ottawa River. Heritage Ottawa will use this unique opportunity to share its work in preserving and celebrating Ottawa's historic places while engaging directly with Ottawa's business community.
